ELOUERA
ELOUERA Kiama, NSW

This one was never meant to be sold.
Four years before it became a record sale, Elouera was someone's back yard. An overgrown plot in Kiama with three 150-year-old fig trees on it and nothing else. We saw it and knew immediately.
We had English architecture in our blood and a clear picture of the home we wanted to build for ourselves, for our three children, for the long chapters ahead. We moved our family of five into a tiny house on the same land while we built. Nearly three years. Through COVID. Through everything that comes with building something that matters while life continues around you.
One step in front of the other.
And then it was finished. Exactly what we'd imagined, rooted in English heritage, built around three ancient fig trees, in a place we loved deeply.
We had to let it go. That was hard.
It sold after two viewings at a record price for Kiama.
What Elouera gave us, beyond the proof, beyond the record, was certainty. That the eye, the instinct, the obsession with craft and detail produces something people feel the moment they walk in.
Elouera Design House exists because of those three fig trees and everything it took to build around them.
Every home since carries something of it.
